Questions

Consultation FAQs

The questions clients actually ask before booking — about what these traditions can do, what they cannot, what it costs, and how to tell a serious practitioner from a mill.

Can astrology or Vastu actually change my life?

They can change what you understand and what you do, which is the honest version of the claim. A reading describes tendencies and timing; a home assessment changes how a space is arranged and used. Neither controls outcomes, and any practitioner promising that is overstating.

Questions

Common questions

What is the difference between Vedic and Western astrology?
They use different zodiacs. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, tied to the seasons; Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, tied to the visible constellations, which puts most planets about 24 degrees earlier. Vedic also relies heavily on the Moon's nakshatra and on dasha periods, which Western astrology does not use.
How accurate is Vedic astrology?
It is a traditional interpretive system, not a predictive instrument with a measurable error rate, and it should not be presented as one. What clients most often find accurate is the description of tendency and timing — the character of a period. Specific event prediction is where the tradition is weakest and where caution is most warranted.
How do I find a legitimate Vedic astrologer?
Ask where they trained and with whom, and whether they hold certification from a recognised body such as the American Council of Vedic Astrology or the Council of Vedic Astrology. Then watch for the red flags: guaranteed outcomes, frightening predictions, and expensive mandatory remedies sold by the practitioner.
How much should a reading cost in the US?
Roughly $20 to $350 and up. Event and novice readers sit at the bottom, newer practitioners around $50 to $125, and established, certified practitioners around $225 to $350. Price mainly reflects preparation and session length. Spira & Sage charges $225 for a 75-minute prepared reading.
Does Vastu work outside India?
Vastu reads direction, light, air and the use of space, all of which exist anywhere. What needs translating is the architecture: American open plans, attached garages, basements and split levels were not what the texts described. That translation is most of the work.
What is the difference between Vastu and Feng Shui?
Both read the relationship between a building and its occupants. Vastu is Indian and works from fixed cardinal directions and a nine-sector grid. Feng Shui is Chinese and reads energy flow, often mapping the bagua from the entrance. They agree more often than they conflict, and where they conflict it is usually about the northeast.
Do I have to buy crystals, stones or yantras?
Not automatically. Dahlia starts with recommendations and explains why they may help. Some options may involve an item you already own or a purchase. She explains the purpose, available options and price before you decide; fear or pressure should never drive that choice.
Can you tell me when I will marry, or how long I will live?
No. Dahlia does not read death and does not give fixed dates for life events. A chart can describe periods that support partnership or stability; it cannot name the day, and claiming otherwise is not honest practice.
What if my wedding date is already fixed?
Then the work moves to the hour. Venues fix the day far more often than the time, and there is usually meaningful room within a single date. Where there genuinely is none, you will be told that timing is not the useful lever here.
Is this medical, legal, financial or psychological advice?
No. Spira & Sage offers spiritual, energetic and personal guidance, and it does not replace medical, legal, financial, psychological or professional advice. Where a question belongs with one of those professionals, Dahlia will say so directly.
Do you work with clients outside the United States?
Yes. Dahlia is based in Houston, Texas, and serves clients worldwide through remote consultations. Sessions are scheduled with your time zone in mind, and guidance is tailored to your circumstances and location.
What happens to my birth data and my floor plan?
They are used for your consultation and nothing else. They are not sold, shared, or used to market anything to you.
